Sherlock - BBC TV Series

I don't watch much TV. In fact, I don't own any television. You could say that I never deliberately go down to level 1 in my boarding house to watch TV except for football matches and the news (but I don't watch much news these days. Lots of unbalance and biased news in Indonesia). Luckily, sometimes in the weekend I have spare time to come to my bestfriend's apartment to watch The Voice, CSI, or the White Collar. But still, I hardly watch any series on TV. That's why I was so late in knowing about this amazing TV series!! Sherlock have been broadcasted since 2010 and here I am just watching it in 2013! Geez..

I crossed into this series because I watched the Hobit and became fond of Martin Freeman (Ow man, I really love him played the Bilbo Baggins). That's why I began to searched into his previous work and then the name of this series rose in my searching. I watched it and love it!! I mean, I've been a fan of Sherlock Holmes for a long time and when I watch this series, somehow I felt that I really have seen the Sherlock as I've imagined when I was young. It's true the story is modern, Sherlock Holmes in modern days. But still, I found it more closely resembled to Sherlock in my imagination rather than the version in Guy Ritchie's movies, even though that version is Sherlock in his original time. Fortunately, Robert Downey Jr is a brilliant actor, that's why I was kinda love Sherlock movies too even though I love this TV series more.

Benedict Cumberbatch as Sherlock and Martin Freeman as John Watson

Until now, there are only 2 seasons with 3 episodes per season. It makes this series only have 6 episodes to date:

  1. A Study in Pink
  2. The Blind Banker
  3. The Great Game
  4. A Scandal in Belgravia
  5. Hound of Baskerville
  6. The Reichenbach Fall

My favorite episode is The Great Game and The Reichenbach Fall (although watching this one makes me suffer and weep). I really think that I have a softspot for nerdy, geeky, eccentric guy. Well, as long as he's as hot as Benedict Cumberbatch >///<. Ho ho ho. I thought I nearly become a Cumberb*tches :), if only I don't remember my lovely Hiroto-kun.

If you want to know more about this series, you could find it on wikipedia. By the way, Sherlock Holmes's website, The Science of Deduction and the blog of John Watson in this series is real! You could read it after watch the series and laughing your ass off just like me :). So does Molly, she also have a blog. And Irene Adler really have a twitter account. Ho ho ho. There is someone who wrote a manga about the series too! You can read it here

It has been said that the shooting of the third season will be in March this year. I'm looking forward to it!! In the meanwhile, let's watch all the previous episodes! Then tell me what you thought about this series!
