Music

I love many kinds of music and had went through various change in musical preference. From indie to mainstream. From classical music to jazz. Music is very important for me.

Books

A little bit different from other girls, rather than spend my money to buy clothes, shoes, or cosmetics, I usually choose to buy books instead.

Pharmacy

Pharmacists are healthcare professionals who practice in pharmacy, the field of health sciences focusing on safe and effective medication use. For me the science of pharmacy is fascinating and interesting.

Movie

I'm a movie enthusiast. Particularly for Fantasy, Adventure, Animation and Science-Fiction Movie. It's a nice way to escape the reality for a while.

Anime and Manga

I love to read manga and watch anime ^^

Nao's Facts

After approximately 1 year, finally I manage to post this on my blog. Pyuh... I wonder, why it takes this long?  *sweat*. This is the second post about Alice Nine member's fact. This time it's Nao's turn! The first one is for Hiroto as you could find here. These are random facts about Nao that I've been collecting from his blog, interviews, tv shows and opinion according to my observation too. Ok, here we go!

Kira kira Nao-shi
  • Real name: Murai Naoyuki (rumor)
  • Birth date : July 31th (there's a rumor that he was born in 1980 but I don't know if it's true or not)
  • Height : around 170 cm (in Alice Nine, he's only taller than Hiroto)
  • Position : Drummer, former leader of Alice Nine (2004 - 2012, now the leader is Shou)
  • Strong point : My strong point could also be my weak point
  • Weak point :  My weak point could also be my strong point (oh my.. ʘ‿ʘ. what do you mean with this Nao-shi. Fu fu fu)
  • Hobby : Hikikomori (social withdrawal. When you stay in your room busy thinking or doing something yourself and doesn't want anyone to disturb you. Nao has same hobby with me :D)
  • Club in High School : Japanese Tea Ceremony club
  • Equipment: Yamaha Drums & Zidjian cymbals.
  • Drum playing style:

Nao-shi is an interesting drummer. His skill is excellent and he work hard to reach his level now. But that's not the interesting point. Rather than focus on his double bass drum, Nao-san choose to hover his cymbals. Really, he's a world-class drummer if you refer to his skill and technique in playing cymbals. He has a good footwork too. You can hear it especially in their rock and metal song.

Random facts about Nao:
  • Loves everything about beverages. He loves coffee and in his blog he often upload pictures of beverages that he likes or he just try.
  • Loves to blog about food!  It seems that he's a kind of person that likes to try new food or new restaurant. On the contrary, he's the most complaining one about gain some weight and often caught between his appetite and his dread of gaining weight (laugh).
  • The other members call him the "Akiba Leader" because he really loves to go to Akihabara (An area in Japan, famous as the center of electronic stores). He said that rather than eating 3 times a day, he prefer to go to Akihabara 4 times a week (laugh).
  • Love to tease his bandmates.
  • According to other members, Nao-san is an otaku^^. That's why to celebrate his birthday in 2010, the other members prepare the "cat and bunny ears" project where they and their fans wear either cat or bunny ears and tail just like the Akiba idol that Nao-san like. Oh, so sweet!!

  • The other members gave him surprise too on his birthday in 2006. Right in the middle of the making of "Number Six" movie and video.
  • Love to call himself Nao-shi. Shi is suffix that given to athlete or artist.
  • He is a gamer. Love Gundam and Dragon Quest.
  • A very cute freak. Sometimes childlike and really freak out in "What's in the Box" segment of Alice 9 Channel. Even though he's like that, in an interview, all of the other members point their finger to Nao when asked who's the most inspirational player in the band.
  • Has a brother whom he always refer as his "handsome brother".

  • Is the lead singer in a school band (Nao can sing! as you could hear from an interview where he sang "Number Six").
  • The first instrument that he played is bass. He was a bassist in a band called Rush. No wonder in one of Fan Club only live, Alice Nine played a song with Nao on Bass, Tora on Drum and Saga on Vocal.
  • Use glasses.
  • Always need to use bathroom in the wrong time, like just before interviews. He is left behind by tour bus 2 times when he was in bathroom. :D. I guess that's why all members looks at Nao when Shou ask if there is anybody who needs to use bathroom in an FC only live.
That's all I know. Hope you enjoy it!!

Two Door Cinema Club Will Release New EP Soon

So when on 6 August, Kevin Baird -Bassist of Two Door Cinema Club-, tweet something like in this picture below, I was really curious.

Naturally, I checked their official site to see if there was any announcement, but there isn't anything. Then I checked their Youtube to found out that they upload a new song without any further information or caption. Just 30 seconds, but it certainly a new song. So I didn't surprised when yesterday they finally announced it. They will release a new EP!

The title of the song is rumored to be "Changing of Seasons" and it will be out on 20 August. But once again, it's still a rumor. There isn't any official information yet. I was surprised to found the first 20 seconds of the song is quite "heavy" on drums. Maybe they finally have a drummer! Ha ha ha. I'm just kidding. After those 20 seconds, it's Sam's guitar sound that make me sure that this is still Two Door Cinema Club that I know. I'm looking forward for their new EP! I might even buy it on iTunes. It seems I can't find their music in CD stores so iTunes is my best bet to support them (by legally buy their songs). The only thing that prevent me from buy music on iTunes is the rumor that I couldn't play those song on my androids (my iPod is with my sister). Now that I know it can, it doesn't matter anymore.

By the way, I really can't wait to hear their new song. How about you? What? You don't know them? Please refer to this page to found information about them. Surely they're one of bands that I recommend you to hear.

Fall Out Boy Live Concert in Jakarta, 19 October 2013 (Update Information)

Well, Fall Out Boy official Facebook and Twitter have announced this afternoon that they will come to Jakarta on 19 October!

The live concert will be held:
Date: 19 October 2013
Place: Skenoo Hall, Gandaria City Mall, Jakarta
Picture taken from their official instagram. Please follow them if you like!
Hoah!! I've been waiting for them to come to Jakarta! They first come to Indonesia when I was still in University and didn't have enough money to watch them. That's why I hope this year I can see their live concert here *finger crossed. I was devastated because this February I've missed Yeah Yeah Yeahs performance in Love Garage and I will miss Mew live concert in Guinness Arthur's Day. T^T. I really want to see Mew but they will be playing on 26 October while I will be in Bali at that time to spend Galungan with my family. T^T. I'm a little bit poor this year because I've bought so many books. That's why to buy Fall Out Boy ticket I'm forced to cancel my plan to watch One Ok Rock concert on 24 November 2013. What will I do if Two Door Cinema Club also come to Indonesia? They will come to Malaysia on 24 November too, then to Philippines on 26 November and finally to Thailand on 28 November. So there's a chance they will held a live concert in Jakarta too. Oh eottoke....
Fall Out Boy when they were kids. This picture is not mine. Taken from their official instagram
Forgive my gibberish talk. Anyway, are you as excited as I am to watch them??

Update!
The promoter of this live concert is Big Daddy Entertainment!

The information of the ticket are as follows, taken from MyTicket website:
I'm so excited! The ticket sale starts from 20 August 2013 and the pre-sale price is Rp. 600.000. Unfortunately you can only buy the ticket online through credit card. The concert lay out is like this:

There's no information yet regarding the time but the duration of this concert is estimated to be 2 hours.

The Conjuring (Review)

So this is the movie that was based on "true story" of paranormal investigator, Ed and Lorraine Warren, when they investigate the case of Perron Family. Many people said that this movie is good and it is rated R because it's scary. No sexual scene, no explicit language, no violence, it received its rating based on scary alone. Hmm.. Isn't that interesting? That's why I watch this movie with a question in mind. Is it going to be able to frightened me?

Patrick Wilson as Ed Warren

Vera Farmiga as Lorraine Warren
Honestly, The Conjuring is not that spooky. It didn't manage to frightened me. But well, even The Exorcist and Ju On didn't manage to scare me. Maybe it's because I don't afraid of ghost (even though perhaps a little bit terrified by demons). This movie play on tension, just like the classic horror movie. It plays on your fear to the unknown and the unseen. Unfortunately it suffers from its similarity to other ghost-haunting-a-house movie like The Exorcist. Things flying? Door slams by itself? Dripping noise? Pictures falls? Yeah. Pretty much like that. No wonder I'm not really terrified. I've already see too many similar scenes in horror movies.

But aside from that, this movie is very good. The first half of the movie is rather slow to explain many things and made you give attention to the characters. It also help to build the tension in the later half of the movie where all the hell broke loose. The acting is superb. All the actors are convincing. I really love Vera Farmiga and Patrick Wilson here. The execution of the movie is good. It balance the horror and the drama element. You could sympathize to Ed and Lorraine Warren, and also to the Perron family. It's been a while for me to finally watch a decent horror movie so overall I'm pleased with The Conjuring.

By the way, this is an interesting story about Annabelle the haunted doll (that part of its history told in this movie) on Youtube:

I recommended you to watch this movie. It's worth your time.

My Reading List in 2013

I'm somewhat a bibliophile. From novel to manga, fiction and non-fiction, as long as it's a good read then I will buy and read it. That's why I think I would share list of some books that I've read this year. I usually buy lots of novels but this year I think it predominantly non-fiction books. You could see it in the list below:

  • 23 Things They Don't Tell You About Capitalism
It came out in 2010 but I only bought it in 2013. >///<.  Because my work had something to do with ASEAN harmonization, recently I'm interested in free trade area and free market which I think is a bullshit. He he he. I mean, those developed nations had protected their industries for years and now they force us, developing countries, to enter the free trade area without enough preparation. It's cheating, really, even though people say it's inevitable in this global world.

This bestseller book author is Ha-Joon Chang, a heterodox economist and professor at Cambridge University. I found this book is fun to read and enlightening, even though I don't always agree with his point. But most of his explanation are interesting and sound. I recommended this book for anyone who interested in capitalism, economy and anyone in general who love to read a good book.

  • The High-Beta Rich: How the Manic Wealthy Will Take Us to the Next Boom, Bubble, and Bust
I found this book, which is wrote by a Wall Street Journal writer -Robert Frank-, amusing. The central theme is how the rich's wealth now depend largely on rising asset values, and how asset price movements correspondingly affect their overall wealth, increasing the volatility of their fortunes. Robert Frank write about how the increasing vulnerability of the rich to the booms and bust of the stock market wreak havoc on the consumer economy, financial market, communities and government finances. It's because the drastic change of the rich wealth will affect their consumption of services, tax, and hence, employment of a lot of people. Interesting. Even though the solutions in this book are unclear. If you want a "light" read written in clear and concise narration about economy and amusing stories from "the rich and the famous", this book is for you.

  • A Song of Ice and Fire

I heard rumor about how Game of Thrones, a TV series that based on A Song of Ice and Fire, is really good. I download some of the episodes and fall in love with it. Because I really curious and can't wait to know about how the story goes, I bought  all of the five books in this series after watch the season 3. Overall I found the story is really good and the premise is really interesting. I love many of its character too! Particularly Daenerys Targaryan, John Snow and Tyrion Lannister. But maybe the world that George R.R. Martin created is too complicated and too large that sometimes I have to take a long break to read one book because I have to processed all the intrigue and stories that I just read. I can't wait to read the next book! I'm really curious about the meeting of Danny with Prince Aegon. What would it be like? And then I really curious too about how the relationship between Tyrion and Sansa Stark will be developed. Call me crazy, but I actually kind of like them to be a couple. He he he. Whatever. I'm looking forward to the next season of Game of Thrones. Winter is coming, everyone. So brace yourself.

  • George and The Big Bang

It's a book for kid so I found it to be only slightly enlightening. That's why I plan to buy "A Brief History of Time" and "The Grand Design" if I have extra money.

  • Sherlock Holmes the Complete Novels and Stories

It consist of 2 volumes and cover the complete adventure of Sherlock Holmes. I recommended it to anyone who want to read all of the original novels and stories about our favorite detective (in English).

  • Cat's Cradle
Kurt Vonnegut is one of my favorite author and Cat's Cradle is his 4th novel. This novel was nominated for a Hugo Award for Best Novel in 1964. That's why I was really curious and end up ordered it on Amazon because I couldn't find it in book store in Jakarta. It's really interesting. Like most of his book, this one is a satirical commentary on modern human and their madness. Exploring the idea of fictional country, fictional religion -Bokononism- and a substance called ice-nine. Ha ha ha. It's hilarious too. Recommended.

By the way, here are some books that I haven't finished read. I will write review about it if it's worth to be discussed or recommended.
  1. Why Nations Fail
  2. Greedy Bastards
  3. Bought and Paid For
  4. End Game
  5. Need, Speed and Greed
  6. How to Ride A Dragon Storm
  7. The Magic of Reality
  8. Mad Science
  9. Slaughterhouse Five
Please tell me if you had any suggestion regarding book that I must read. Comment bellow and let me know ^^.

Sherlock Series 3 Teaser, Comment from Martin Freeman and Benedict Cumberbatch in Comic Con 2013

So a few days ago BBC one upload the teaser trailer for Sherlock series 3. See the teaser trailer below!

Btw, John Watson looks older here (with those mustache and a shade of grey hair). Download the video here. It is rumored to be aired in January 2014. I really can't wait!

About 3 weeks ago, there's a Sherlock panel in San Diego Comic Con. Martin Freeman and Benedict Cumberbatch couldn't go there personally but they left a video message. It's so fucking hilarious! Watch it in video below!

Apparently Martin Freeman was still in New Zealand at that time. He said that they will be filming the third episode of Sherlock series 3 in the end of July. Benedict Cumberbatch is such a troll here (which prompt me to call him BeneTroll now ^^). First, he talk about Star Trek, The Hobbit, then talk about all of his work including Alan Turing, Assange, and The Simpsons. He pretend to be annoyed by the facts that he can't talk about whom he's playing, what his character does, then give us spoiler about how Sherlock survive (which include tea bag, cup of tea and helicopter. :D). Ah.. It must be Stephen Moffats that hijack the connection and cut the signal. He he he. If interested, you could download the video here.

I really can't wait to see this series!! What do you think? Do you think series 3 will be more fantastic than series 1 & 2?

Resistensi Antibiotik

Guess what? Yup.

He he he.

Pemutih Gigi

He he he.

Tipe Bahan Pemutih Gigi
Secara umum, bahan pemutih gigi dibagi menjadi 2 jenis berdasarkan cara kerjanya:
1.       Pencerah permukaan (surface whiteners):
(a)   In-Office Bleaching:

I) Peraturan Kepala Badan POM RI No. HK.03.1.23.08.11.07517 tentang Persyaratan Teknis Bahan Kosmetika.

And as usual, semoga informasi ini bermanfaat ^^.
